Design & Print
Start with an idea, a sketch, a photo of a broken part, or a concept from ChatGPT. We model it in-house in Cape Town, print a sample so you can check the fit, then produce it in the quantity you need.
Case study
NTT-Tech's 4G elevator emergency dialer needed an enclosure that fits a certified device exactly. We designed it in Onshape, printed a first unit to check the fit, then moved to a monthly PETG production run.
See the projectYou know what it should do but not how to model it. Send the brief, the chat or the picture and we work out the part with you.
Send a photo of the broken part and its key measurements. We model a replacement and print a sample to test the fit.
Housings built around a PCB or a device, with mounting points, cut-outs and a lid that fits.
Once the sample works, the same file and settings carry through to small production runs and repeat orders.
Describe the part and attach whatever you have: a sketch, a photo, a PDF drawing, a chat, or a file.
One quote for both, back within 24 hours.
We model the part, print one and you test it. Changes are new files, not new tooling.
Print the quantity you need now, and reorder later with the same settings.
Yes. A chat can help you work out what you want, but a description or an image is not a printable file. Send us the chat, the sketch or the picture along with the measurements that matter, and we model the part in-house and print a sample for you to check before anything is produced in quantity.
No. If you have an STL, STEP or 3MF file you can upload it for an instant per-part estimate. If you do not, describe the part and attach a sketch, a photo of the part you are replacing, or a PDF drawing. We take it from there.
Yes, send it and we will quote it. If the file turns out not to be printable as it stands, we will say so and model the part properly instead of printing something that will not work.
Not at the moment. Today a person models your part, in Onshape, so it is built around the real measurements you give us. We are curious whether an automatic option would be useful to you: if it would, say so in your quote request.
There is no fixed rate card. Design is quoted together with the print once we know what the part is, so you see one number for both. Quotes come back within 24 hours.
The more of these you can give us, the faster the quote: what the part does, the key measurements (even a rough ruler measurement helps), what it attaches to or sits next to, whether it will be indoors, outdoors or in heat, and how many you need. A photo of the part in place is worth a lot.
A one-off printed part usually takes 2-3 days once the design is agreed. Design time depends on how complicated the part is, and we will give you a time with the quote.
Yes. We keep the file and print settings on record, so repeat orders and small production runs match the first part. See our business printing page for batch work.
Describe the part and attach a sketch, photo or drawing, or upload an STL for an instant per-part estimate. We reply within 24 hours.
